The Cocoon House by Landmak Architecture
The Cocoon House refurbishment was recently completed by Landmak Architecture, JSC.
Located in the expensive New Urban area, the block structure is part of a row houses.
Neglected after the economic crisis in Vietnam, the architects wanted to redesign this house with a new form, full of energy, romantic and peaceful with an awareness of security.
Being an old and complicated house, Landmak Architecture team added one floor and one mezzanine. They decided to use the kitchen roof as a terrace for the master bedroom on the second floor. The balconies have a very interesting structure for a better ventilation and space for sunlight to shine through. “This in a way can be seen as a cocoon, where we still have access to nature but also appreciated the security factor”, the architects said.
The advantage of this place is the area at the front and the back of the house, where you can embrace the nature by these gardens.
